Talon, Malon's dearly loved and very lazy Father. He is the owner of Lon Lon Ranch, despite this most of the work is passed off to Ingo and most likely Malon. Ingo complained often about Talon's laziness which most likely led to tension developing behind Lon Lon Ranch's walls. Talon doesn't seem entirely phased at all by this as he continues to nap while Ingo continues to do all of the work.

Talon is first encountered behind the castle gates. He has fallen asleep while delivering milk. Link uses a cucco to wake him. We see him again later on in the house at Lon Lon Ranch, once again asleep. He challanges Link to find three super cuccos in a gaggle of regular cuccos. When Link is successful, Talon awards him with a bottle of Lon Lon Milk. We meet Talon again in Kakariko Village. He has been chased away from the ranch and Ingo took over. He is once again asleep and Link once again must use a cuccco to wake him up. Once Link frees Lon Lon Ranch, Talon returns and swears to work hard from then on.

It is fun to note that Talon (as well as Malon) has a Browser broach. It is said that he is based on Mario while Ingo is based on Luigi from the Mario Bros. games.

MALON'S MOTHER

Malon's Mother is absent and very rarely mentioned during the course of the game. Some speculate that she is dead. Malon says her mother composed Epona's Song.

Something interesting to note about Malon's mother, is that if Link wears the Gerudo mask and speaks with Talon, he mentions that it reminds him of Malon's Mother. But quickly retracts the statement. It is easy to believe Malon's Mother was/is a Gerudo. It would easily explain Malon's bright red hair and her fiery personality.
